"Part of a glacier in Iceland, this piece of ice detached and arrived on the beach. Each time a wave reaches it, a little of the glacial ice disappears into the ocean. After several days, it will have completely melted. Vatnajökull, Iceland."
Biography
When Samuel discovered Iceland for the first time in 2003, he decided to deeply invest in photography. He travels there each year, trying to catch the spirit of these strange landscapes. He especially loves night photography because of its atmosphere.
The landscapes he prefers are volcanic or desert areas, or more generally areas that are hidden, untouched, or far from man. Besides traveling to Iceland, Samuel frequently visits Chile, Bolivia, Kamchatka, Ethiopia, and Namibia seeking an intimate vision of remote areas.
Samuel is currently working on a book of photography of Iceland.
